A Few Things about Gardening You Did Not Know

When it comes to gardening, there are certain textbook rules that everyone tends to follow. However, there are certain things that you will not find documented anywhere but they can be of great help in the healthy growth of the plants. Here are some of them.

Perhaps you did not know that it is a good idea to plant the seeds in the eggshells and keep them indoors if the weather outside is not conducive for the growth. There are number of reasons why eggshells are beneficial. First of all they are free of cost. The shells that you usually trash can be a great source of calcium to the seedlings. When the weather is friendlier, you can easily move the plants from the eggshells to the pots.

Did you know that the rose plant can be grown by trimming the stems of another rose plant? There are so many things we get to know about gardening through experience. Before you plant the stem cutting into the soil, make sure that stick it into a small potato. The potato helps in moisture retention and encourages the better development of roots.

You can place an empty plastic pot with holes in the middle of the garden for creating a watering well. This will allow for the deeper watering. There are certain roots which run deeper and the water provided to the soil doesn’t reach out to them.  This especially happens during the summer season. With the water well the water will sink in deeper.

With these simple and out of the book information, you can make your garden even better.
